Kindergarten students will begin school at 8:10 a.m. beginning on September 9. All students should be in school prior to 8:00 a.m. Please keep in mind the traffic congestion on the Valley Road during the morning, you can avoid the traffic by dropping off your child earlier.

Cafeteria and canteen service will begin on Monday, September 13. Students will have to bring a packed lunch and recess snack for the first week of school.

Lunch being dropped off at school must be placed on the table in the front porch area and must be labelled with students first and last name as well as their grade level.

Only Kindergarten parents will be permitted access to the building on the first day of school.

Busing and student eligibility will be determined based on your Civic Address in our computer system. If you changed address over the summer break it is important to inform the school prior to Wednesday, September 8.

Courtesy Seating on the School Bus will be available on September 20, 2021. Courtesy Seating Application

We know masking remains a good defense against possible exposure to germs and viruses. As such, the District strongly encourages the continued use of masks for students, staff, and

others, particularly on school buses and in common areas. However, masking is not mandatory in a low-risk environment. It will be the decision of the individual staff member, student/parent as

to whether they wish to wear a mask in a low-risk environment. Again, if the situation changes, we will adjust protocols based on Public Health advice.

For all individuals, whether vaccinated or not, precautionary measures such as ensuring an individual does not attend a school when they are feeling unwell, and maintaining

good hand hygiene, remain in effect. Students, staff and visitors are asked to continue to use the Daily Screening Questionnaire for Schools to determine whether they should attend school.

School Entrances/Exits

Students being dropped off at school, not coming to school on school bus, will use the following entrances and exits.

Kindergarten, grade 1 and grade 2 will use the main entrance/exit to the school.

Grade 3, 4 and 5 will use the West Front Entrance/Exit

Grade 6, 7, and 8 will use the East Front Entrance/Exit (closest to gymnasium)
