Carbonear Academy

In September 2013 all K-8 students from Carbonear and Hr. Grace, who previously attended Davis Elementary and Hr. Grace Primary, started the school year at Carbonear Academy. We have a current school population of about 435 students! Our school is in the town of Carbonear, and is found on the East Coast of Newfoundland Labrador. Newfoundland Labrador is the most easterly province in the country of Canada.

At Carbonear Academy, we strive to provide a safe, caring, respectful and welcoming environment. Through shared decision making we promote an inclusive and collaborative school culture. We aim to promote growth and to celebrate the achievement of each school community member.

KES foundation "support the education, health, and well-being of school age children in Newfoundland and Labrador through nutrition programs, primarily through a breakfast club, run by volunteers at schools and community centres. The majority of its programs are delivered by a breakfast club. KES Clubs are inclusive programs. Every child is welcome and there is no charge to families. Currently there are 255 Kids Eat Smart Clubs operating with the assistance of 6,100 volunteers. Over 31,000 meals are served every school day!

The goal is to provide children with the nutrition they need to learn, to grow, and to be their very best! "

"Put the power of food into the hands of Canadian children" is the belief of PC Children's Charities who believe "access to good food and food education provides the foundation, so children can learn and grow, improving their well-being, making a positive contribution to the world around them - now, and in the future."

Students at Carbonear Academy are very thankful for these programs at our school!
